Beijing, China 17 contributions 6 helpful votes. Terrible experience. It's been a long time since we had such a bad experience at a hotel. We had problems since our arrival to the hotel up to the moment we left. Checking-in took us nearly half an hour because only one person was at the counter. And after all that time, they told us our rooms weren't ready.
One of the two rooms we booked was available 2 hours after our checking-in time and we oinly found out about it because we kept calling the front desk. They didn't bother to tell us! The restaurant's floor was very dirty and sticky, which in hindsight should have been a warning sign of what we could expect from the rooms. The room had no towels, soap, bathrobes or water. The towels and sheets were old and I am not sure they were clean.
When we asked for water, it took them 18 hours to bring it. Our courtains were dusty and the bed cover had stains on it. In the morning, the cleaning service opened the door twice, despite the fact we had a "do not disturb" sign on the door.
