Shakeel M. Blue Lotus is the best travel company we have worked with to date, and that's saying a lot considering how much we travel. Booking Experience: We spoke with a few companies before deciding we wanted to work with Blue Lotus. Shakeel, the CEO, is approachable and knowledgeable, making it was a no-brainer for us to choose Blue Lotus. During our first contact and early phone calls, Shakeel spent an inordinate amount of time understanding how we wanted to structure our trip and educating us on the variety of experiences and parks we could choose from.

Shakeel is ever patient and super responsive, making the entire process enjoyable and stress-free. We managed to fit in destinations and experiences we had never even thought of, based on Blue Lotus recommendations. Travel Experience: 1 Shakeel and Abbas provided a comprehensive itinerary complete with confirmation numbers so we knew exactly what to expect. His welcome gave us a lot of reassurance that we were in good hands throughout the trip. Communication and Coordination 1 Blue Lotus guides are fantastic. Our guides, both in Tanzania and Kenya, were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and in communication with each other.

Together, they ensured that our game drives and tours were flawless and we got more out of the experience than we ever imagined. There were heavy rains in Kenya, causing several roadways to be flooded. Unfortunately, our assigned tour guide for Kenya was stuck and unable to reach us. Blue Lotus stepped in and made alternate transportation and arrangements. Our Tanzanian guide stayed with us until we were loaded and on our way with our new guide, and Shakeel stayed in touch with us well into the night until he was sure we were safely near our hotel.

That's invaluable and incredibly reassuring for a family like ours making a safari trip for the first time. Thank you, Blue Lotus, for making this a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This feedback really means a lot for us and gives us direction especially during peak festive season with multiple challenges.

At the end of a 5 hour tour we headed for Sopo Lodge on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. The Lodge hotel was excellent ,the views spectular. Staff at the hotel looked after us very well and the Dinner served was very good. After early breakfast we headed down into the Crater.

Godfrey made sure that we managed to see Lions, Rhinos , Hippos , Wildebeast, Elephants and a lot of other game. Godfrey provided a running commentary throughout the Safari and he made sure we managed to get good pictures. Binoculars were also provided. Thank you Shakeel , Abbas, Godfrey for a great Safari. We went on the most wonderful safari in the beginning og July 2 adults and 4 children aged 6, 10, 12 and In advance everything had been planned by Shakeel in the office who was very good at finding the right solutions for us.

We had a wonderful time especially on our safari where our guide Vincent was absolutely amazing and also very good with the children. We had an unforgettable time. Check in at our hotel i Arusha was a little difficult because the hotel hadn't booked the right rooms for us. So we had to wait an hour before getting our rooms. But the place was nice, and they apologized by giving us a free meal and drinks. But solutions were found and Vincent and Shakeel were excellent in helping finding solutions. Our trip endet in a wonderful hotel in Zanzibar Dongwe Ocean View which was absolutely amazing.

All in all we had an unforgettable trip and would very much like to go again some time. And we would definitely go with Blue Lotus again! Dear Axel, Thank you so much for you feedback. Feedback is the only way a company can understand if its moving towards the right direction.

My luggage was also four days late to arrive and Shakeel was super helpful, phoning the airport and the airlines and was even in touch with my family trying to find the bags while I was trekking Kilimanjaro!
